What we’ll cover
- How immigration works
- How to think about your next move
- Five company showcases
- Huge barbecue
Who’s behind this
Gadi and Daniel, cofounders at Antigravity Capital. We are a seed stage VC firm investing in AI-first companies. We also started Puentes because we kept meeting engineers abroad who were clearly excellent but didn't know they could just move to SF. Now we 35 fellows working at companies like Cognition Labs, Vercel, Replit, and Krea.
SF is strange because it can look impossible from the outside but it’s a city that literally needs new talent coming in, otherwise it dies. Our goal is to show you how it works, help you decide if it’s what you want, and connect you with the people that can help you move here.
Agenda
Quili Peña (Head of Strategy, Happyrobot) will cover immigration.
Quili will share how he navigated his immigration path directly. He’ll walk through what went right and wrong, and what he wish he knew earlier.
Pedro Judice (CEO, Sift) wil cover how to think about your next move.
Pedro was an early engineer at Applied Intuition (a $20B company), and he had to navigate when to start something himself. He will cover how engineers should think about compensation, how to earn credibility, and what to look for in cofounders.
Company showcases
We’ll invite 5 to 10 companies actively hiring engineers to showcase what they are building and why should engineers join them. Everyone presenting has a history of helping with visas.
- Luis Hector Chávez, CTO at Replit (YC W18).
- Victor Perez, CEO at Krea.
- Ari Polakof, CEO at Flai (YC S25).
- Rohan Vasishth, CEO at Bluejay (YC X25).
- Jerry Wu, CEO at Halluminate (YC S25).
We’ll end it all up with a huge barbecue!
We will invite our local community in SF so you can meet other engineers and founders that have been living and building here for a while.
